Los Angeles-area high school, Harvard-Westlake, was forced to close after former student and ex-Dolphins lineman Jonathan Martin posted a disturbing Instagram message that included a gun. ABC News reported that Martin was detained and questioned by the LAPD, who say the investigation is ongoing.

The post featured a shotgun with shells around it and the message, “When you’re a bully victim and a coward, your options are suicide or revenge.” It also featured the names of his former Dolphins teammates Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey as well as the Los Angeles-area high school, Harvard-Westlake

Martin made headlines in 2013 after he claimed Richie Incognito and other Dolphins teammates were bullying him in the locker room. Incognito was suspended for the entire season and Martin traded in the offseason to the 49ers after he claimed that he was being aggressively mocked with racial insults.

In 2016, Martin revealed on Instagram that he tried committing suicide several times, but stated that he realized that "Nothing matters besides your family, a few close friends, and your own personal happiness.”
