Retired NFL cornerback Charles Tillman became 37 years old on Friday, February 23; and as such, has surpassed the age limit for any U.S. citizen seeking to join the ranks of the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Luckily for him, he just beat the deadline by only recently graduating from the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, VA, according to reports.

Word has gone around for some months that Tillman was pursuing a career as an agent. When asked by a reporter who caught up to him at the Super Bowl looking to verify the rumor, the former Bears great simply replied, “Don't know what you're talking about.” But the cat was out of the bag, and although Tillman has remained secretive about the endeavor the Sporting News recently quoted a source close to him that confirmed that "He is currently working for the FBI," and "has his badge and everything."

Fans will remember Tillman (nicknamed "Peanut") from his 12-year run in Chicago, where he earned two Pro Bowl berths and revolutionized his position by introducing the patented "Peanut Punch" into his defensive repertoire. In his 168 games played in a Bears uniform, Tillman was responsible for 38 interceptions and 44 forced fumbles.
