The decision of St. Louis grand jury to arrest Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens on Thursday is based on felony charges of invasion of privacy. The Circuit Attorney for the city of St. Louis, Kimberly Gardner, stated that he needs to be held accountable for his actions.

The grand jury's indictment found that Greitens, 43, took a bunch of nude photos in 2015 of women he was cheating with on his wife. In his statement, Greitens admitted making a mistake but insisted his act was not of a criminal nature. His attorney claims he is "absolutely innocent," reports ABC News.

According to ABC News, Greitens and his wife Sheena, "released a joint statement acknowledging that it took place, but that they are working together to move forward in their marriage." They had gotten married in 2011, just a few years before his affairs took place. However, Greitens's attorney, Edward L. Dowd, Jr., said that "the charges are unfounded and baseless." "This whole investigation is completely unusual," he added.

Greitens has resisted calls for his resignation since the news of his cheating broke last month. Republicans in the state, who still hold majorities in both the state senate and state house, said they would "conduct an investigation into Greitens conduct before determining as to whether or not he should step down," reports ABC News.

Seriously though, who cares about Greitens and whether he steps down if the "leader" of this country, Trump, has had multiple extra-marital affairs and no one is holding him accountable? These decisions should be made from the top. It is clear who should be stepping down first. According to court documents, the next hearing in Greitens case is scheduled for March 16.
