The power of the Kardashian-Jenner brand had stretched outside more than just reality television and the makeup industry. Their reach is impactful especially when it comes to their impact on social media, specifically that of the youngest of the clan Kylie Jenner.

On Wednesday afternoon, Kylie sent out a tweet criticizing Snapchat, bemoaning the company's redesign that has angered many of its users. "Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me... ugh this is so sad," Kylie wrote. As a result of the tweet that was sent at 4:50 PM eastern standard time the company's stock dropped 6% on Thursday. The tumble resulted in a loss of nearly $1 billion in market value for the company.

A few hours later, Kylie would share her love for the platform. "Still love you tho snap ... my first love," she wrote, but it was a little too late.
