In the past, Birdman has spoken about his relationship with Houston legend J Prince and how that fostered a bond between Jas Prince and Lil Wayne. Jas Prince is credited with discovering Drake and introducing him to Weezy who would later sign him to the Young Money imprint. Jas Prince would be cut out the picture publicly and would reenter the spotlight when it became news that he was suing Birdman over the Drake contract, which he has yet to be paid for.
In response to Birdman saying J Prince's family is his family, the mogul decided to tell the Cash Money founder that he should then pay his son what he is owed. J Prince took to Instagram and wrote a lengthy caption alongside the video clip of Birdman's revering words about him.
"I always had respect for the two brothers Ronald and Bryan Williams hustle because anyone who is successful in this music business earns the respect. I’m glad to have been an inspiration to them, but you witnessed the words that came out of his mouth. And I quote, 'His family is my family. You gotta understand thats where Drake come into play. That came from J. Nobody knows that,'" he wrote. "The J that really deserves that RESPECT and to be PAID is my son @Jas.Prince he discovered @ChampagnePapi."
J Prince then goes on to explain that he does not use the word family loosely. He continued, "I believe life and death is in the power of the tongue. I also walk in great respect for the universal laws, one being cause and effect, simply meaning you reap what you sow."
He ended his message by saying, "This is the truth raw and uncut. This is how you earn 'Respect" on your name.'"
