YG gave fans who were already hyped over the remainder of an eventful weekend out in Los Angeles that much more to look forward to on Saturday night (February 17), when he announced that his ride or die day-ones can expect a new album on the way.
Before putting his set at the Shrine Auditorium away with one last song, the Compton rapper deaded the music and came forward to deliver the breaking news. “If y’all one of my real friends, y’all gon’ be real motherf**kin’ happy about this s**t," he said. "It’s been a long time coming… My motherf**kin’ new album on the motherf**kin’ way, 'Stay Dangerous,' goddamnit.”
Many of those who were lucky enough to be on hand to be among the firsts to hear about his plans to drop had already heard the project's first single. YG actually released the DJ Mustard assisted " Suu Whoop” one day prior, thus setting the stage for him to make it official during the NBA All-Star weekend's concert, The Boogie. The timely song followed up YG's cameo on Nipsey Hussle's red-hot debut album track, “Last Time That I Checc’d.”
The tentative project will follow up My Krazy Life and Still Brazy as YG's third studio effort.
