Several student-survivors of the recent mass-shooting in Parkland, FL have assumed the lead in calling on lawmakers to take action or face the consequences come election time. Among the galvanized crop of young activists is Marjory Stoneman Douglas High junior--Cameron Kasky, who announced over the weekend that the group is organizing a series of events that will lead up to march on Washington.

"One of the things we've been hearing is that it's not the time yet to talk about gun control, and we respect that. We've lost 17 lives, and our community took 17 bullets to the heart, and it's difficult to come back from that," he told ABC News' This Week on Sunday, February 18.

Kasky then provided a March 24th date for supporters to meet up in the nation's capital, where organizers intend for the conversation to culminate. It is then and there where an ultimatum will be made for politicians to detach themselves from the National Rifle Association or have the group mobilize enough voters to oust them from office when its time to head for the polls.

"This isn't about the GOP. This isn't about the Democrats. This is about the adults. We feel neglected, and at this point, you're either with us or against us," Kasky said.
