Tekashi 6ix9ine has promoted himself as a reputable member of street and gang culture, not only has the hip-hop community has been testing his authenticity but, the streets themselves have been coming out in droves, requiring that the budding artist check-in into their respective cities and come correct to their communities.
Unfortunately, 6ix9ine refuses to follow the code of the streets especially in regards to this weekend's NBA All-Star festivities which just so happen to be taking place in Los Angeles, a city world-renowned for its gang and street culture.
After having his LA pass supposedly revoked by multiple street figures in the city, it appears that this has created a snowball effect and has a prominent Hispanic San Antonio gang, known as Tango Orejon, making the city a no-fly zone for a tour date that he has scheduled in Texas.
The gang claims that their warning is not a promotion of their rap group, The Versace Boys, and also stated that penitentiary rules were in effect in response to his child molestation allegations that have become common knowledge.
The unnamed gang members reassured that they weren't gonna allow the New York-native to perform at their local San Antonio Bar 23 music venue and then proceeded to brandish multiple guns on camera before the video came to an end.
Hopefully, things don't go too far, and lives ended up being lost. The politics of street life shouldn't stop anyone from being able to make an honest living as a musician but, if you choose to play both sides, be prepared for what might come next. Safety and prosperity should be all of our only concerns.
