February 16th marked the release of the historic, record-breaking Marvel motion picture in Black Panther. The film broke pre-sale records with ease and will most likely be the largest grossing film in a single weekend in history.

Of course, with the subject matter surrounding an untouched African kingdom and a star-studded African-American cast, the black/minority community came out in droves in support of the superhero film and let's just say those who participated not only came out dressed in their finest African garbs, the masses also came through with homemade prepared food as if it was a cookout with extended family.

Unfortunately, with this type of participation and excitement on display across the country, internet trolls took advantage of the moment and took to social media in order to curate fallacious stories about what took place at various movie theaters which include a multitude of assaults and harassment accusations.

Sadly, it took nothing but a couple of image searches to prove these accusations false and many of these accounts were suspended by multiple social media platforms. These divisive tactics failed miserably in order to slander Black Panther moviegoers. Moviegoers who we have to mention that aren't just African-American or black but regular Marvel fans and movie buffs with ticket sales rising by the minute.

The trolls tried but you can't knock the hustle.
