19-year-old, Nikolas Cruz, better known as the man responsible for shooting and killing 17 people inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, reportedly played a role in a hate group. The group released a statement clarifying that before Cruz's shooting at the Florida school, he performed paramilitary exercises and received the weapon from members of the group.

Many students revealed that the school shooter was known for wearing a 'Make America Great Again' hat.

According to reporters, the group Cruz joined is formally titled “white separatist paramilitary proto-fascist organization."

Before opening fire at the school, it is believed that Cruz was privately anticipating and organizing this hateful crime with the teachings of the group's leader, Jordan Jereb.

However, Jereb opposed, stating, “I know he knew full well he was joining a white separatist paramilitary proto-fascist organization. I’m not trying to glorify it, but he was pretty efficient in what he did,” Jereb said. “He probably used that training to do what he did yesterday. Nobody I know told him to do that, he just freaked out.”

An affidavit filed on Thursday authorities say Cruz purchased the AR-15 rifle that he used at the school in February 2017.

On Thursday the FBI said they received a warning from a YouTube user about a “Nikolas Cruz” suggesting he was, “going to be a professional school shooter” in a comment. Except the Bureau's special agent said they couldn't identify the user.
