Hall Of Fame NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp was recently tricked by a man who posed as a fan to serve him legal papers. The young man who fooled Sapp, took a picture with the NFL player and acted like a fan before turning on his own camera and handing Sapp a court summons.
In the video, he hands Sapp the summons, then appears to quickly flee the scene, as if he was scared that the NFL star might tackle him. The summons requires Sapp to appear in court for a lawsuit that accuses him of accidentally hurting a woman who was attending a Super Bowl party in 2015.
Last January, actress Paula Trickey filed a lawsuit that stated Sapp knocked her down at an ESPN party during Super Bowl weekend. Trickey claims she suffered permanent injuries as a result.
In response, Sapp took to Twitter to defend himself. "On Jan. 30 2015 I was at the JBL/Harmon private event where I was scheduled to introduce Pitbull. It's impossible to be @ 2 places at 1 time," tweeted Sapp. He then followed with another tweet that had the caption "That Night! #NotEspn," along with a picture of himself at a completely different event during the night in question.
