Amar'e Stoudemire is joining the Big3 League, a 3-on-3 pro basketball league founded by Ice Cube that features former basketball All-Stars, World Champions, and Hall of Famers. Stoudemire, a six-time NBA All-Star, will be a co-captain of the Tri-State team. He will be playing alongside Jermaine O'Neal and Nate Robinson.

The Big3 is on its second professional season and will feature Stoudemire and 22 other former NBA players. The small group of will participate in the summertime as either captains, players, or coaches.

Stoudemire retired from the NBA in 2016 after a 14-year career. He played for the Phoenix Suns for eight seasons, and another four season with the New York Knicks. He rounded out his career playing for short periods with the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat.

Stoudemire last played professionally in 2017 overseas, where the 35-year-old helped Hapoel Jerusalem win the Israeli Basketball Premier League championship last season. Baron Davis, Metta World Peace, Carlos Boozer, Drew Gooden and Greg Oden have also joined the league for the upcoming season.
