On Monday night (February 12), Jarobi of A Tribe Called Quest reposted a video of Cardi B on Instagram. The budding rapper was discussing how commenters often strip artists of their humility with their negative remarks.
Jarobi posted because he agreed with Cardi's sentiments. The video got a negative reaction from Azealia Banks who has been doing her part to critique and blast Cardi for her perceived successes.Banks hopped in Jarobi's comments and made it clear she would be unfollowing him.
"Ewww you're getting unfollowed for posting this illiterate untalented rat," she wrote. "This b***h is not an artist if anyone needs to humble themselves. It’s her. Lol she got her teeth done last year and they are already yellow… truest definition of take the girl out of the hood but can’t take the hood out the girl.”
Banks went on to take a dig at Jarobi and another person in his comments section, before adding “Q-Tip would never." under her slew of comments. The 26-year-old first took aim at Cardi B back in September after her chart-topping song "Bodak Yellow" began to break Billboard records. Banks has exchanged words on social media with other female artists like Remy Ma, Iggy Azeala, and Nicki MInaj.
