LaVar Ball has been in the media day in and day out for his over the top comments regarding his children. His three sons, Lonzo, LaMelo, and LiAngelo, are basketball stars, even though they have yet to make an impact in the NBA. Lonzo was drafted by the Lakers organization last year and has yet to prove himself as a worthy second overall draft pick. The rookie has time to develop, and his father believes that his other two boys should join Lonzo. A father wanting his three sons to play together is understandable, but it's the ultimatum that LaVar gave that has the nation shaking their heads in disapproval.
LaVar recently stated that if the Lakers would not draft his other two sons, that he would have Lonzo leave the team. LaVar would then market the trio to a team that would take all of his sons. Peter Gruber, who is the co-owner of the reigning NBA champions the Golden State Warriors, was recently interviewed by TMZ Sports. When asked how he would handle LaVar's comments as a team owner, Gruber stated, "I don't listen to that conversation." He continued on to say, "I have a disconnect. I go..." before imitating LaVar Ball speaking and then becoming mute, silently wording nothing. The thought of Gruber silencing LaVar is definitely entertaining.
