Previously, Nelly was accused of sexual assault, but charges were ultimately dropped by prosecutors after the accuser stopped cooperating. Now, the rapper is under investigation for sexual assault, this time for an alleged incident in England.
According to TMZ, the alleged assault took place on December 5, 2017, after the rapper performed at Cliff’s Pavillion in Essex. The accuser alleged that the rapper asked her to stay around and talk to him after he took a picture with her. From there, she said Nelly began masturbating in front of her and tried to kiss her before she decided to dash from the room.
Nelly’s attorney issued a statement saying “These allegations arose after Ms. Green amended her suit for money to include a reference to these claims. The fact that the police are investigating these claims is not new information, and Nelly welcomes a thorough investigation. Nelly is confident that once investigated, these claims will be determined to be disingenuous."
The lawyer went on to say “Nelly was accompanied by his girlfriend during this tour and she was at his side throughout. It is important that police investigate every allegation of this nature."
