Atlanta rap exec Coach K announced the newest addition to his growing Quality Control family on Friday, February 9. In the caption of a video that he posted to Instagram, of a crowd jumping and singing along to the lyrics of "Dark Knight Dummo," Coach noted that he has inked Trippie Redd to a management deal.

News of the signing means that Canton, Ohio can count one of its own among a roster of artists that includes the likes of Lil Yachty, Rich the Kid, OG Maco, and flagship superstars, Migos. Word of the move also comes at a timely moment for both the label and Trippie, with him being viewed by many as a favorite to make XXL's annual Freshman Class list for 2018.

While Trippie continues to remain under the mainstream radar, 2017 did see his popularity grow exponentially on the merit of collaborations with Tekashi 6ix9ine, XXXTentacion, Travis Scott, and Swae Lee. Along with that, the songs "Poles1469," "Fuck Love," "Love Scars," "Bust Down," "Romeo & Juliet," "TR666," and "Early Morning Trappin" helped contribute to his rise. What's more, he entered 2018 to big expectations when word got around that he had been in the studio working with Drake.

Congratulations to Trippie Redd and the Quality Control movement.
