NBA All-Star weekend is almost here. The All-Star game will take place on Sunday, February 18th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This year, the NBA strayed away from the traditional East versus West format and instead elected to make two team captains draft a dream team of their own. The team captains were selected from each conference, LeBron James for the East and Stephen Curry for the West. James and Curry then chose from a list of players that were voted on by the public to build their teams. In an interview with Complex, Lakers' legend Kobe Bryant opines about the change in All-Star roster format, and who he would draft to his team if he were captain.

"From a competitive standpoint, if I was still playing, I'd be really quick to talk trash about how the East just finally said, 'you know what, we'll never beat the West, so we gotta do something different'," states Kobe in response to the new All-Star game format.

When asked if he would have drafted Shaq to his All-Star team, Kobe asked, "What year are we talking Shaq?" After the journalist made it clear that she was referring to the first year Shaq won a title with the Miami Heat, Kobe answers, "No, I would take LeBron James."
