Rapper Teka$hi 6ix9ine may be heading to prison if he doesn't get his GED within the next few months.
Born Daniel Hernandez, 6ix9ine entered a guilty plea in order to avoid jail time for the use of a child in a sexual performance. In 2015, the rapper uploaded several videos of himself and his friend engaging in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl. In one of the videos, 6ix9ine's friend Taquan Anderson has the child perform oral sex on him, while Teka$hi plays with her from behind. Another video features the child half naked on 6ix9ine's lap while she is fondled by his friends. 6ix9ine's plea deal involved a list of stipulations, one of them being the achievement of a GED.
After over two years of probation, 6ix9ine has failed to earn his GED, which may lead to a violation of his plea deal. Luckily, Judge Felicia Mennin has postponed the court proceedings until April 10, which gives 6ix9ine about three months to accomplish the requirement.
Along with attaining his GED, 6ix9ine was ordered to one year of interim probation. He was banned from posting sexually explicit or violent images featuring women or children to social media, ordered to two years of mental health treatment, and instructed to complete three hundred hours of community service. The judge also declared that he write a letter to the victims family.
