A former home improvement television show host who has been working on a show that was scheduled to reach audiences via A&E eventually - is being held behind bars on charges stemming from a sexual assault he is alleged to have committed against a preadolescent girl.

Christopher Dionne, 36, of 2015 HGTV show "Family Flip," was taken into custody on a warrant that was issued for his arrest after a 10-year-old friend of his children filed a complaint against him with police. He was booked on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

According to the report, Dionne accosted the girl while she was asleep during a November sleepover in his Connecticut home. She says that she woke up to the married father of two fondling her breasts and groping her backside - before offering to let her grab his penis. He then went so far as to pull the girl's top up in order to expose her bare chest for a picture, the complaint says.

The police document also reveals that Dionne attempted to silence the girl by telling her that if she told her mother he'd, quote: "go to jail and my daughter won’t have a daddy.” The girl recalls the sleepover incident following an uncomfortable encounter she had with Dionne two months earlier, during which time he spoke to her in a sexually explicit manner

A&E has since confirmed that it is calling off production of the new series that he and his brother Mike had in the works.
