Russell Westbrook received a slew of critiques and was the butt of many jokes on social media after wearing a certain shirt, on Thursday (January 25.) The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard was arriving at the Chesapeake Energy Arena prior to a matchup against the Washing Wizards. He was caught by TNT cameras wearing a yellow long-sleeve sweater with carefully placed, stylistic rips on the front. Though he has a reputation for his fashion sense, (he has been called the NBA fashion king more than once), the general public didn't take well to this new style.
As Russ strutted to the locker room, Charles Barkley clowned him, saying "What the hell? Come on." Kenny Smith responded, "Why can’t he wear that?" as Chuck fired back, "Because it looks awful, it looks like he got bit by a dog. Come on man."
Around May of 2016, Westbrook was roasted across social media for a similar offense- sporting a shirt with a giant hole in the middle.
