It didn't take long for LaVar Ball to find his way on his sons' Lithuanian pro-team, Vytautas, in an official capacity. It has been reported that LaVar was named an assistant coach for the team as it hosted the Big Baller Challenge tournament in Lithuania. The five-team tournament was organized by LaVar and the Vytautas front office as a way for LaMelo and LiAngelo to get more on-court time as well as play against athletes closer in age.

A Vytautas spokesperson told ESPN, "He will be an assistant coach on game protocol but will drive the team through the game and make many of the decisions," and added, "The style the team is going to play is going to be LaVar's choice." Vytautas head coach Virginijus Seskus chimed in, "LaVar wants the team to play fast. He also has an idea for a new way for the team to play defense, so we're going to try it out tonight. Today we'll be like two equal coaches, but this will only be for the friendly match. We'll see how it goes today."

The first game of the tournament saw Vytautas take home the 147-142 victory over BC Dzukija with Melo and Gelo combining for 80 points. After the game, a tweet was posted by the Big Baller Brand official Twitter page of a few snapshots of LaVar the coach with the caption: "Undefeated. NEVA LOST."

Vytautas is 4-0 in their Big Baller Challenge contests and LaMelo and LiAngelo are proving to be productive with LaMelo averaging 18.3 points along with 7.3 assists per game, while his older brother LiAngelo is averaging 23.3 points per.
