NFL veteran Tony Gonzalez said that even though Tom Brady might have had the best quarterback career ever, he can’t call him the greatest of all time.

TMZ caught up with Gonzalez to get his opinion on Tom Brady’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars that earned him the right to play in his eighth career Super Bowl.

“He’s one of the best ever,” said Gonzalez while placing the Patriots star in the same category as Joe Montana, Dan Marino and recent QBs like Aaron Rodgers. “He’s had the best career ever. I think he’s the GOAT for best career ever. But best quarterback ever? I don’t know. I don’t know if there’s ever a best anything.”

Gonzalez went on to humbly explain how he doesn’t even consider himself one of the best tight ends in the league’s history despite some of the fan polls that put him at the top of the list. Gonzalez also didn’t make a Super Bowl prediction. “I don’t yet. We’ll see. I’m still figuring it out,” he said when asked who he thought would win this year’s big game.

Brady defied the odds on Sunday night when he was able to defeat the Jaguars with a hand injury. The quarterback suffered a cut on his hand but was able to pull off a major comeback with the handicap. He was even held off from practicing on the Thursday before the game. Brady threw two touchdowns in the final nine minutes of the game which lead the Patriots to a comeback win.
