Adrien Broner's relationship with Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a storied one that has seen the Cincinnati boxer and his one-time mentor waver between being inseparable and being on-the-outs over the past several years. Judging by how AB spoke of The Money Team boss during a recent run-in with Fight Hype, it would appear that things aren't as sweet between them today as they were when Floyd reconnected with Broner following his suicide scare a year and a half ago.

"You said talk to who? Who is that? Who the f**k is that? ... Who is that? Who? Who?" Broner responded when Floyd's name was brought up. The FH reporter then reminded Broner of the brother-like camaraderie they once had, to which the former four-division champion responded: "S**t I ain't got no big brother, all my big brothers' last name Broner, all my brother. S**t... Got me f**ked up, all that fake a** love s**t. Show me you love me. Don't only love me when the cameras around motherf**ker."

It isn't the first time that Broner has expressed feelings of abandonment concerning Floyd. While it appeared that the boxing great took Broner under his wing when many were comparing them early in the 28-year-old fighter's career, it would eventually become clear that a distance had grown between them. Broner would regularly lash out at his senior over their lack of communication, while fans got accustomed to hearing Floyd respond to all the partying and trouble Broner became known for, by insisting that he get his priorities in order and put the sport first.

Floyd did come around for AB when he needed him most, though, and that was in October of 2016 when the youngster went missing after posting a series of cryptic messages on social media that seemed to indicate he was on the verge of taking his own life. Images and videos of them cruising together, and footage of Broner training in Floyd's gym were going viral - but then things suddenly soured and Broner was back to accusing his elder of putting on a front for the press.
