According to A$AP Rocky, it doesn't take much to make it in the rap game.

In a recent interview with Forbes magazine, Rocky shared his take on the keys to success in the music industry. While most think it takes skill and dedication to be a beast on the mic, turns out none of that is necessary at all.

The proud Harlem artist reawakened the long-time argued topic of the downward spiral rap has taken through the recent years. Where having a ghostwriter is still a bit of a taboo, it's recognized to undoubtedly be a secret weapon of most of today's rappers' success.

The Cozy Tapes frontman started out talking about how well he and his A$SAP Mob work together. Thanks to "natural, organic energy" and a simple love for what they're doing, the group has been able "bring back an essence" of what hip-hop has been missing. However, he didn't hesitate to acknowledge that a lot of rappers have gotten by without a real understanding of the art form.

"All you need is a ghostwriter. F**k all the politics of what you need. There are so many acts that are just mediocre that are winning...mediocrity is oversaturating the game," said Rocky.

While there may be some who argue against Rocky's opinion, at least we can thank the Mob for putting in an effort to "keep s**t level." Take a look at his full answer above.
