Rapper Chief Keef has taken to Twitter to comment on the relationship between him and the late Fredo Santana, on Saturday, January 20.

The Chicago rapper tweeted "Stop saying Fredo was my friend, That's my cousin, Big difference." It seems Chief Keef was alluding to the fact that his relationship with Santana was closer than with that of a friend.

This was the first public reaction we saw from Chief Keef since the death of Fredo Santana was disclosed. The "Don't Like" hitmaker retweeted fans' condolences, and also posted a screenshot of the music video for "Tell Nobody," a Fredo Santana track featuring himself, captioned "'Now playing' Love you Dude for ever It was good to be able to hug you..."

Chief Keef, real name Keith Farrelle Cozart, is the younger cousin of Fredo Santana. Santana passed away January 19, at the age of 27 years old. The cause of death was a seizure, something that the Chicago rapper suffered from in the past due to his drug use. The rapper previously had liver and kidney failure, which he revealed in October 2017. He was found in Los Angeles at his residence by his girlfriend, with whom he recently had a son in June 2017.
