Previously, Mo’Nique took to Instagram to announce she was launching a boycott against Netflix after the company only offered her $500K for a comedy special and refused to negotiate. The comedian noted she was facing color and gender bias from the company. Since then, Michael Blackson chimed in with his own thoughts on Mo’Nique’s boycott.
Via Instagram, Blackson said “Mo’Nique, $500K might not be sh*t to you or me, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, or the white woman who got $11 million. But it means a lot to the broke n****as following us. It could be their 10-year income, so you’re not gonna get much support there.”
He went on to say the only way he’d boycott Netflix is if they offer him some “bullsh*t like 40 cents a day.”
