Everyone's been sharing their opinions about Kanye West's baby name choice, and Common put his two cents in as well.
For the rapper/family friend, West naming his newborn, Chicago West, was a no-brainer. The fellow Chi-Town artist shares a history with The Life of Pablo creator, so he was more than happy to exclaim his well wishes to the family on their latest addition to the West clan.
TMZ caught the rapper/actor at LAX to ask what he thought about the idea to name her after his hometown. He ultimately shared that it's nothing but "deserving."
"That's incredible...He deserves to be able to name his child 'Chicago' for as much as he does for our city and for as much as he loves our city. And that's a fresh name for a kid!" said Common.
And a fresh name it is! Kim and Kanye welcomed their baby girl into the world January 15th via surrogate. Kim decided to publicize the official name through her website four days after. The mother and mogul also added:
“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care...North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”
