According to reports, Nicki Minaj’s former “Hoodstars” group mate—Jaquin Royall a.k.a. 7even-Up was shot in the head while at a Brooklyn bar on December 23, 2017. However, that’s not the worst of the situation for 7even-Up, as he was charged with gun possession for a weapon that fell out of his pocket during the shooting.

The gun possession bit is crucial for Royall, as he was on a path to change his life and stay away from trouble. According to NY Daily News, Royall was working with an anti-violence program located in Coney Island called Operation HOOD (Helping Our Own Hood), that focused on keeping young people from getting into trouble as he did in his younger days.

After being shot in the stomach, head, and buttocks, Royall was charged with gun possession days later while still in the hospital trying to recover from wounds he sustained in the shooting. Royall is currently in serious condition at the NY Langone Hospital in Brooklyn.

If convicted, Royall could face a tremendous amount of time in prison for the alleged gun he had at the time of the shooting.
