During an interview with Ebro Darden for Beats 1 Radio, Migos discussed their track "Motorsport" featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. Ebro spoke about the impact that song could've had for female rappers with those two coming together but he pointed out how that was lost when the video dropped and they hadn't been in it together. Quavo brought up Ebro saying that Nicki and Cardi played themselves by not appearing together. It seemed as though Quavo shared a similar sentiment, however, when he stated that they tried to create the environment for that moment to happen but end-goal never materialized. This undoubtedly fanned the flames of the rumored beef between Cardi and Nicki.
