Droves of fans flooded out of the New York Expo Center in the Bronx, on Thursday night (January 18) after violence brought an abrupt end to the 2018 Yams Day festival.

Thousands had shown up to be in attendance for A$AP Mob's annual tribute to their co-founder. But to the misfortune of all of those who made it out, many of the performers on a bill that included Lil Yachty, Nav, G Perico, Flatbush Zombies, Playboi Carti, and French Montana, didn't get to make it to the stage.

Numerous cellphone videos recorded at the event show the magnitude of dysfunction that ensued after fists began flying among a group of individuals crowding an area behind the curtains. In one particular clip, Hector Delgado comes out before the crowd to put a call out for A$AP Rocky to return to the stage for safety reasons. "It's a security issue going on," the producer hollers into the mic as the volume of murmuring from onlookers grows. A clip recorded a short time later shows Rocky emerge out of a door that lets a cloud of smoke out with him.

Witnesses who were present for the occasion detail the sound of chairs being thrown into the commotion, and there are even reports of gunshots having been fired off. As more and more information has come to the public's attention the story has gone developing.
