Two men accused of murdering Chinx got their first official day in court Wednesday. Also in attendance was the Queens rapper's widow, Janelli Caceres-Pickens.
"It gets harder and harder every time just to literally stare someone in the eyes and not be able to say anything," said Caceres-Pickens while speaking with Fox5 NY. "It's hard, it's hard. A lot of emotions run through you."
32-year-old Quincy Homere appeared alongside 26-year-old Jamar Hill in Queens County Criminal Court in Kew Gardens. Both men had new attorneys who asked State Supreme Court Justice Kenneth C. Holder for some time to familiarize themselves with the case.
Both men have pleaded not guilty in the charge of second-degree murder.
The rapper's widow told FOX5 she plans on showing up for every single court hearing, despite the emotional pain it causes her.
"It's just a waiting process. It's an emotional roller coaster—you come in, you have to see them, you have to face them," Caceres-Pickens said. "The feelings just run through you all over again."
Homere and Hill are due back in front of the judge next month where they will either be offered a plea deal or decide to stand trial.
Chinx was gunned down in May 2015 while sitting in his Porsche at a traffic light in Queens.
