Kendrick is continuing to make significant career moves. From his multi-selling albums to his sneaker deal with Nike and booming world tours, the Compton-born rapper is diving into a new business endeavor.

According to Billboard, Kendrick’s label and managing entity Top Dawg Entertainment is mulling offers for a new publishing deal for the Grammy-winning rapper-songwriter between $20,000,000 and $40,000,000. Kendrick is currently signed with Warner/Chappell Music and has been for the several years that he’s developed into a global rap superstar, but that deal will expire soon.

With his rap resume including 7 Grammy-awards, three critically-acclaimed label albums, and now the producer of the film soundtrack of Marvel’s Black Panther. With those feats under his belt, one buffer has offered up $28 million in a new publishing deal, and another has put $23 million with $11 million upfront, different sources have cited to Billboard.

TDE has not made clear what it is they are seeking in this new deal. However, a songwriter’s catalog usually sells for about ten times its net share value when it contains hit records. Kendrick has proven to be a massive artist who will be a free agent. He has amassed 9.5 million album consumption units.
