A 14-year-old Australian girl took her own life as a result of online bullying. The family of Amy “Dolly” Everett recently held a memorial service. Following the service, guests released balloons and butterflies into the air.
Dolly's father, Tick Everett, is making headlines after he wrote an emotional Facebook post which invited the victim's bullies to the funeral.
“If by some chance the people who thought this was a joke and made themselves feel superior by the constant bullying and harassment see this post, please come to our service and witness the complete devastation you have created", he wrote.
The post has received a plethora of support from people all around the world. Authorities are now investigating the bullying allegations along with Dolly's death.
