James Franco responded to sexual abuse allegations that were recently directed towards him on Twitter during a recent appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.
The recent Golden Globe winner denied claims made by several women including "The Breakfast Club" actress Ally Sheedy who said Franco violated them sexually. The actor told Colbert he was perplexed over the allegations and said: “if there is restitution to be made I will make it.” Sheedy posted a comment during the Golden Globes that hinted at Franco being an abuser. “Why is James Franco allowed in? Said too much,” she wrote.
Aside from Sheedy, another woman reminded her followers of a time when the actor did something really suspect. “Whatever I still remember James Franco trying to pick up a teenager on Instagram,” wrote Jessica Valenti. Another woman more specifically singled out the actor on Twitter for lewd acts. “Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17?,” the woman wrote. Franco took home a Golden Globe for his portrayal of “The Room” creator Tommy Wiseau in “Disaster Artist” earlier this week which understandably had some of his accusers in an uproar.
