Jonathan Wells, a former employee of Rolling Stone accused the co-founder of the famous magazine Jann Wenner of sexually assaulting him in February of 1983.

Wells told Buzzfeed News in a story published on Friday (December 29) that the assault happened after a night of binged drinking and cocaine use in his apartment.

Wells, who was 28 at the time, recounted the scenario of the assault, explaining that the both of them got naked because Wenner had called a prostitute; after finding out that Wells' father accused him of being gay. "I was lying back, and he put himself on top of me," Wells recalled.

"He was kissing me, but you know, normal stuff, kissing my chest. I remember him putting his penis in my mouth. I remember him sucking me... I remember his hair on my stomach." Wenner was 37 at the time of the alleged assault. After the assault, Wells said that he “just tore out of there and ran home and showered."

Weeks later, Wenner gave his accuser a job as director of the book publishing division of the publication as a means to continue their sexual relationship. “When I started working there, Jann wasn't too interested in what I did,” Wells stated. “I knew when I started working there; there was always the question of a continuing sexual relationship.”

After this night, Wells said he went on to have consensual sex with Wenner two separate times because he believed he might be gay. Wenner would continue to ask him on dates and only backed off once Wells started to dodge his advances. In 1985, Wells was fired, and while he didn't think anything of it then, he believes that maybe was naive.

Wenner denied the allegations of assault when approached by BuzzFeed. "I am completely surprised by these allegations, as we have remained friends for almost 35 years since then," Wenner said in a statement. "I sincerely believed our relationship was totally mutual and consensual — absolutely, and without question.”

In November, Ben Ryan, a writer at Rolling Stone also accused Wenner of harassment. Ryan said that he was offered a 25-story deal with the publication in exchange for sexual favors.
