In the latest showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas day, drama was everpresent. This time, the refs of the game made the headlines in a close game that ended in the Warriors defeating the Cavs 99-92.

During shootaround before the Cavs matchup against the Sacramento Kings, LeBron James was asked what his thoughts were on the missed call in a pivotal moment of the game against the Warriors. As LeBron drove past Kevin Durant late in the fourth quarter, there seemed to be contact on three different occasions in a sequence where James lost the ball out-of-bounds and the ball was awarded to the Warriors.

Because of the how the video review rule is written, missed calls cannot be called on review. Only calls that were made can be reviewed, no matter if video reveals a missed call, or three, in this instance.

Powering the conversation past what would be an everyday none-call, is the conversation on whether KD has surpassed LeBron as the best player in the NBA stemming from KD's performance against LeBron in the 2017 Finals. Would it have been a call if it was KD driving to the bucket, or is James officiated differently?
