Solange fans were left saddened for the "A Seat at the Table" singer after she revealed to her social media followers that she's been struggling with an autonomic disorder and must cancel her New Year's Eve show in South Africa as a result.

The 31-year-old Grammy Award winner apparently struggled to find the words to disclose the news, admitting that she "wrote, deleted and rewrote" five drafts of the message before finally leaving it up on her Instagram page on Wednesday, December 27. She'd go on to confess that she was diagnosed five months ago, before giving a glimpse of what she's been going through. "Sometimes I feel cool, and other times not so cool at all,” she wrote.

Solange was not specific about which autonomic disorder she has been fighting, but she has likely dealt with irregularities with her heart rate, blood pressure, and digestion in addition to the trouble she's had regulating her body temperature. Such is the case with autonomic disorders, as they are known to stifle involuntary bodily functions.

Solange was regretful that she will not be headlining the Johannesburg show but promised she would make up the show, "I give you my ABSOLUTE WORD I will come back with AfroPunk and deliver this performance.....as it is so extremely important to me to connect with the people who have so closely inspired me in so many ways,” she wrote.
