Cardi B was a guest on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (December 20) and Grammy-nominated artist proved to the world how her infectious personality blasted her into rap stardom.

At the start of the interview, Fallon asked Cardi to detail the origin of her stage name. "My sister's name is Hennessy, right?" she blissfully stated before delving into a hilarious anecdote. "So everybody used to call me Bacardi, so I always call myself Bacardi, right? And then it was my Instagram name—Bacardi, Bacardi B—but for some reason, my Instagram kept getting deleted and I think it was Bacardi (the liquor company) that had something to do with it. So I just shortened it to Cardi B."

Cardi then went on to explain how she and Offset always discussed marriage but she had no idea he would go out of his way to get her such a large diamond ring or for the proposal. It all came as a surprise to her. Then the Grammy-nominated rapper revealed that she already feels like a winner after all the success of "Bodak Yellow" even if she doesn't take a trophy home.

Cardi B cracks Jimmy up about her name's origin, how fiancé Migos' Offset went out of his way for his proposal and why she already feels like a winner after "Bodak Yellow," even if she doesn't take home a Grammy.

Cardi's next single "Bartier Cardi" is set to drop this Friday (December 22nd) and it features fellow rap newbie 21 Savage. The Cardi reign isn't letting up in 2017. If you missed it Cardi also stole the show earlier this week with the release of the official video for G-Eazy and her track "No Limit (Remix)" -- featuring A$AP Rocky, French Montana, Juicy J, and Belly-- and her and Ozuna's "La Modelo".
