Nike will be releasing a retro shoe in collaboration with LeBron James - the Nike Air Zoom Generation, in the classic color scheme, will drop on December 28th and is set to retail for $175 at Nike retail stores.

Earlier this year, Nike released a classic, “First Game” Air Zoom Generation - these are the kicks LeBron rocked in his first NBA game in 2003. The style got a lot of play during his first season, 2003 - 2004, for which he won Rookie of the Year. The original colorway was white, red, and navy. The second version of the Air Zoom Generation shoe featured a “Vachetta Tan” colorway.

The new style, dropping at the end of the month, has a black leather and mesh upper, and tumbled leather at the tongue and toe of the shoe. They are black with a white sole, with red detailing on the Nike logo outline, tongue, and midsole grooves.

LeBron initially signed a $90 million deal with Nike in 2003, straight out of high-school; Nike has been lacing the star for the last 15 years. The Air Zoom Generation shoe is on its 3rd edition, and fans everywhere will be able to own a piece of NBA history.
