The 2017 winner of Brazil's annual Miss BumBum contest has revealed that she went to the police after being groped a few hours after winning first place in the pageant. 28-year-old Rosie Oliveira said she slapped her assailant across the face when he tried to grab her award-winning rear end at the pageant's after-party in Sao Paulo.

Oliveira was reportedly seen leaving a police station a couple of days after speaking about her ordeal and is now demanding that competition organizers comb through CCTV footage to identify the man who assaulted her.“Just because I’m Miss Bum Bum doesn’t mean I don’t deserve respect," said the furious model.

When she was selected for the contest, Oliveira touched on the current political turmoil embroiling her homeland.“My biggest dream is that politics in Brazil improves, we can have peace of mind and guarantee us health, education, and security to all,” she said.

“I want to live to see a political reform, I do not have children and the country in which we live prevents me from that dream.” Oliveira said she decided to enter the competition because so many of its previous winners have gone on to bigger things.“I saw the opportunity to expand my career and do some work in catalogs and magazines outside Brazil,” she explained.
