Blake Griffin is set to undergo testing on Tuesday, November 28, after injuring his left knee in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' matchup against the Lakers on Monday night.

Griffin got hurt while tangling for a loose ball with Lonzo Ball and teammate Austin Rivers. In the midst of action, Rivers was tripped up and inadvertently tumbled onto Griffin's leg, causing the knee to bend awkwardly. After grimacing in pain, Griffin got to his feet and attempted to play on, but ended up leaving for the locker room after missing a shot in another possession. He ended his night having contributed 26 points and 11 rebounds to the 120-115 loss.

While Griffin was able to exit the game, and later leave the arena without the help of a stretcher, he was forced to walk with a limp. There is some concern about what tests will turn up, as the injury happened to the same knee that he underwent surgery for when he was held out for the duration of the 2009-10 season. Griffin's eight-year career has been plagued by injuries in general, with him having completed 67, 35 and 61 games over the past three seasons.

An extended absence for the Clippers star will put a damper on a team that was streaking upward to improve their record with three straight wins before Monday's loss. Rivers didn't sound optimistic about the prospects of an immediate return, telling reporters after the game that the injury “didn’t look good, obviously.”
