JAY-Z has simultaneously released three new music videos: "Legacy," "Smile" and "Marcy Me." The videos were released on streaming service Tidal at 4:44 pm EST.

All three videos touch different topics that JAY-Z is passionate about. "Legacy," written and directed by Jeymes Samuel, is a story about a prison break with stars Susan Sarandon, Ron Perlman, Emile Hirsch and Jesse Williams. JAY-Z has been involved with re-examining the criminal justice system with documentaries on Kalief Browder and recently releasing an Op-Ed in the New York Times speaking out against Roc Nation member Meek Mills probation violation. “In Pennsylvania, hundreds of thousands of people are on probation or parole. About half of the people in city jails in Philadelphia are there for probation or parole violations. We could literally shut down jails if we treated people on parole or probation more fairly.”

"Smile" features JAY-Z's mother, Gloria Carter, playing herself as a young mother. The video explores a romantic relationship from her perspective. It was written and directed by Miles Jay.

"Marcy Me," directed by Ben and Joshua Safdie, is a story about a young boy who's sent on a snack run by his friends to wind up being pursued by a police helicopter.
