Faith Evans expressed her disgust over the auctioning of some of Tupac’s junk and her former husband Biggie Small’s car door.
TMZ caught up with the songstress and asked her thoughts on companies profiting from the items of the two deceased hip-hop legends. “People do anything these days. I saw that they auctioned off the door to the car that Big was murdered in,” said Faith. “It seems like with pop culture and everybody just wanting to be so a part of entertainment and such and bigger media, I think that probably, we need to pray.” Faith went on to explain that selling the car door was pretty wrong move. “That was terrible,” she continued. Faith also said that the car was not owned by Biggie’s estate, so they had no control over that situation.
The auction craze started last year when Tupac’s handwritten lyrics were sold. Other items including the BMW that Tupac was killed in and other lyric sheets have hit the market during the past few years. Most of these items have changed hands several times and belonged to entities other than their respective estates at the time that they were sold. Faith is one of the first people affiliated with the two rappers to speak out publicly against the auctioning.
