Even after being shot and in critical condition in Hollywood earlier this year, Young Dolph has taken no time off. He has released an album, Thinking Out Loud, as well as a string of hit records and features.
Last Sunday, Dolph took to Twitter to call out rappers sipping fake lean for attention.
"Any rapper claiming to be drinking activis is really lettin you kno how lame they are. Dat s*** been gone. These lames drinkin homemade act.... n***as wanna b cool dat bad, smh' Dolph wrote on Twitter.
Young Dolph is referencing the recent ban of Activis brand Promethazine with Codeine cough syrup, which has been taken off the market due to widely publicized misuse of the medication in popular culture, and in particular, Hip-Hop. Some have blamed Justin Bieber for the pushing the prescription drug into mainstream culture, thus leading to its ban, however mixing Activis and soda has been a longstanding staple in rap culture, stemming from the likes of DJ Screw and Three 6 Mafia.
Even after struggling with setbacks, like the shooting, as well as having his tour van shot up, Young Dolph continues to push forward and push the envelope, never allowing anything to slow him down.
