Hollywood has seen many celebrities and executives getting hit with sexual assault allegations in recent weeks. Now, alleged victims are coming out against politicians, as a woman has recently accused GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 14. At the time of the alleged assault, Moore was 32.

The alleged victim—Leigh Corfman, is now 53 years old and noted that the incident took place in 1979. She gave the Washington Post a detailed walk-through of what happened to her, saying that the then 32-year-old Moore removed her shirt while he took off his own clothes. He allegedly touched her bra and moved his hand to her underwear.

Corfman is not the only person Moore allegedly sexually assaulted. Three more women spoke to the Washington Post, claiming the politician asked them on dates while they were teenagers and he was in his 30s.

Since then, Republicans have made an effort to distance themselves from Moore, with Senator John McCain even saying that Moore should step down “immediately.” Moore’s campaign issued a statement denying the allegations, saying, “After over 40 years of public service, if any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now.”

If Moore were to withdraw from the Senate race at this point, he may have trouble, as Alabama law prohibits candidates from withdrawing from the election ballot within 76 days.
