Apple recently released its newest iPhone, aka the iPhone X. The latest phone is Apple’s first smartphone to feature a full-screen display. There's also an all-new 'Super Retina' resolution, a reinforced glass design, and support for wireless charging.

It’s known that iPhone screens crack very easily, so people put the X to the test. Consumer electronics site CNET ran a drop test from a height of three feet. The glass at the corner of the phone cracked on the very first test, where the phone dropped on its side. A second test dropped the phone on its face, adding up to more fractures. CNET came to the conclusion that dropping the phone without a case is "out of the question."

Apple responded to CNET, saying, “The new iPhone is designed to be durable, but not indestructible, and goes through rigorous real-world testing. iPhone X is made from the most durable glass ever in a smartphone with a 50 percent deeper strengthening layer using our dual ion-exchange process, further reinforced by an internal laser welded, steel and copper structure. And the surgical-grade stainless steel band that wraps around and reinforces iPhone X is a special Apple-designed alloy that is both durable and more pure. If anyone is concerned about dropping their iPhone and damaging it, we suggest using one of the many beautiful cases available to protect iPhone."

If you’re looking to purchase the new phone, remember that the price starts at a whopping $1,149.00, as well as the fact that you will most likely have to purchase a good case to keep the phone secured and safe.
