Nicki Minaj enjoyed a bit of levity in otherwise what must be a very stressful time of her life. The Queens rapper took to Instagram Tuesday and posted a photo of some of her bling, including several trademark Barbie chains.
"The Barbie® chain glow up tho," Nicki captioned the pic of several pieces of jewelry, including her "Pinkprint" chain which, depending on the angle you view it at, displays either the word Barbie or the fingerprint smudge from her album's artwork.
Also seen in the pic is Minaj's "Pink Friday" chain along with a diamond-encrusted watch.
Nicki, whose brother is currently on trial for allegedly raping an underage girl, no doubt is happy to have anything that will distract her from his legal drama. It was previously reported that the 34-year-old rapper would be testifying at the trial, though on Tuesday TMZ reported that she won't be taking the stand.
The trial for Nicki's brother Jelani Maraj began last week in Long Island. He stands accused of raping his then 11-year-old stepdaughter as many as four times a week for years before he was arrested in 2015.
The girl's 10-year-old brother took the stand on Monday and testified he saw Maraj in the basement with his sister and her pants "were around her ankles." He says he knew something "wasn't right."
