After allegations of sexual misconduct against Hollywood super-producer Harvey Weinstein arose last month, Many actresses have come forth condemning Weinstein and sharing their own stories of Weinstein and his predatory behavior toward aspiring and veteran actresses alike. The allegations have not only lead to a police investigation, but they have also prompted a social media movement Of women from different industries telling similar stories.

Most recently, actors Lupita Nyong'o came forward and Describe how Weinstein undressed himself in front of her while asking if she would like a massage; only hours after Nyoungo had dinner with Weinstein‘s wife and children. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a powerful man has leverage his position in such a fashion to pray on those looking for an opportunity. As is the case with most recurring crimes, there were those in the industry who knew of Weinstein‘s sexual misconduct yet did nothing. Oscar-winning director Quinton Tarantino had this to say:

“I knew enough to do more than I did,” he said, citing several episodes involving prominent actresses. “There was more to it than just the normal rumors, the normal gossip. It wasn’t secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things. I wish I had taken responsibility for what I heard,” he added. “If I had done the work I should have done then, I would have had to not work with him.”
