Another day, another allegation against Harvey Weinstein. This time, it involved a plant.
Fox News reporter Lauren Sivan claims that the Oscar-winning Hollywood producer once masturbated in front of her after trapping her in a restaurant vestibule, the latest in a list of sexual harassment claims by numerous women.
The incident took place at Cafe Socialista, a Cuban-themed club and restaurant that Mr. Weinstein invested in at the time. Sivan says that he took her into the kitchen, dismissed two of his staffers from the room, and tried to kiss her. When she told him that she was in a relationship, Weinstein said, "Well, can you just stand there and shut up." That was when he whipped out his penis and masturbated until he finished on a nearby potted plant. He tried to call her the next day, claiming he had a great time. He tried to set a date where they can meet again but she never reached out to him.
In response to the incident that took place ten years ago, Lauren Sivan responded on Twitter saying, "Yeah. This happened. Luckily I didn't need a job or favor from him + didn't have to be polite. Others did. Keep that in mind.
Mr. Weinstein has not responded to this particular claim.
