Previously, Donald Trump and his comments made in reference to NFL players who have been kneeling during the national anthem at their games rubbed many the wrong way, including NFL players and their team owners. Trump referred to the NFL players who kneel as “sons of b*****s” and told team owners that they should fire whoever kneels during the anthem. From there, he pushed for a boycott of the NFL. Trump also criticized Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and rescinded an invitation to the White House after Curry already said he had no desire to attend.

Now, the protest has spread to another realm: NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently spoke his mind on the whole national anthem protest. Via Twitter, the NASCAR driver said: “All Americans R granted rights 2 peaceful protests.” Earnhardt went on to give a quote from JFK, saying “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” Despite Earnhardt Jr. tweeting his thoughts, Trump spoke on NASCAR and thanked them. Via his favorite platform—Twitter, Trump said “So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They won’t put with disrespecting our Country or our Flag - they said it loud and clear!”
